SHEET-METAL FORMING
WE WILL MAKE IT RIGHT
Whether it be folding, bending, flanging, free bending, embossing, bending using bend-angle sensors, deep-draw molding, or rolling, we at BRUDER-KELLER will get your sheet metal in form. In order to achieve this, appropriate upper and lower toolings are always available. Our enormous tooling stock also includes an impressive selection of special bending toolings. For your stainless steel components, we only use punches and dies that have never touched carbon steel to ensure there is no danger of corrosion. In order to achieve the highest level of precision, the punches and dies will also be precisely adjusted so that the bending radius is exactly right for every operation. And when favorably priced standardized solutions are required, we will use press brakes with bending lengths of 1,000 to 4,000 mm. The pressing force of these machines is between 36 and 250 tonnes. The size of the component and the thickness of the material will determine which machine is suitable. Short thin-sheet parts will be produced on small presses, while long and bulky parts will be processed on larger machines that are demonstrably capable of dealing with sheet thicknesses of up to 15 mm. As a matter of course when choosing our presses, we always decide for the machine with the largest number of CNC-controlled backstops and axes. All our press brakes come from TRUMPF. They are equipped with a standardized CNC control system, which makes them easier to use and program. As our machines are equipped with the full range of options, we have at our fingertips a universal range of capital equipment for sheet metal forming. In metal processing, improved bending results can be achieved with the help of bend-angle sensors. Our machinery pool has therefore been equipped with this sophisticated technology. To achieve the precise desired bending angle, it is necessary to take into account the spring-back effect and to overbend the work-piece. In the past, that meant conducting a number of testbends to determine the exact bending parameters. For small batch sizes, this involved a disproportionate amount of effort, and for large batch sizes, it was difficult to ensure compliance with production tolerances. But that is all history now. Bend-angle sensors enable the actual bending angle to be measured and taken into consideration, along with differing spring-back angles and diverse material characteristics. In this way, we are able to achieve the desired bending angle with the utmost precision. The advantage for you: Precise bending angles thanks to automatic measurements and adjustments, regardless of rolling direction, tensile strength and fluctuations in sheet thickness. We also execute our bending operations without leaving any marks. For deep drawing and other sheet metal forming tasks, we can always rely on our classic eccentric presses (REMIREMONT) and hydraulic C-frame presses (MENGELE and STENHÖJ) with up to 150 tonnes of pressing force. At BRUDER-KELLER, all your sheet metal will achieve top form.
